It has been a really long time since I have posted content from third party sites on my blog, but this one deserves a watch.
I have been a big fan of John Oliver for some time now thanks to the Bugle podcast he hosts with Andy Zaltzman. John’s show Last Week Tonight is one of the best shows on air today, globally. And the below clip is all you need to see to know why.
They say imitation is the best form of flattery. One person who knows that well it seems is Gotye. With the astounding number of YouTube parodies and covers of his song, Gotye creates his own remix. Using ALL of the videos on YouTube.
He says: “Reluctant as I am to add to the mountain of interpretations of ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ seemingly taking over their own area of the Internet, I couldn’t resist the massive remixability that such a large, varied yet connected bundle of source material offered. ”
This is as good as the original song if not better. Coming from the artist himself.

Brilliant idea! Wouldn’t hurt get something like this in the Delhi metro stations. Or the Mumbai metro in a couple of years.
